Mark Bucher opened the first BGR The Burger Joint in Bethesda, Maryland in 2008, fulfilling his desire to have the perfect hamburger readily available close at hand. Bucher’s love of grilling burgers in his backyard while growing up in the Philadelphia suburbs drove him to create the perfect burger which is crafted with the finest beef on the planet. BGR now has 21 locations in eight states and the District of Columbia. Bucher’s burgers have received widespread acclaim from critics across the nation.
