HEAD COOK: Daniel Alvarenga
COMPETITION: World Seafood Championship
Hey! My name is Daniel, and I am a First-Generation College Student at Dallas College. I also work at the Four Seasons Resort and Club in Dallas Texas. I discovered my passion for cooking in high school. I had great mentors that helped guide and form this passion into a more sophisticated career-oriented love for the art of the kitchen. During my high school years, I competed in the State FCCLA Food Innovations and Culinary Events. I placed 1st at the state championships for Food Innovations, and I also placed top 10, at the State Level for Culinary. I love fresh and tropical flavors, and I find myself incorporating many of those flavors into my dishes. The vibrant colors make me feel nostalgic for my home country, El Salvador.
