COMPETITION: World Open Chili Championship
I am a self taught Chef cooking over 20 years. I started cooking in competitions and have developed culinary skills cooking under pressure. The Great Petaluma Chili Cook off (GPCC)1998 was my first chili win and have won over 35+ awards in the competition and helped raise over 150,000K for the Petaluma Children's Cinnabar Theater. I am a 4 time Chili Appreciation Society International (CASI) California State Champion 2003, 2006, 2007 and 2014. I have qualified to cook in the CASI International Chili Championship in Terlingua Texas and completed 5 times for the World Championship. In 2014 I competed in the Healdsburg California Executive Winery Chef Chili Cook off representing Thumbprint Winery and won 2 of the six categories. In 2015 we competed again in Healdsburg and Won 4 of the 6 chili categories. It was a great honor to win the Hormel 125 Anniversary Chili Nation Challenge which qualifying me to go to the WFC in Orange Beach. I competed in the 2015 WFC and in the 2016 WFC competition, took first place in Structured Finals and made it to the top 10 finalist.
