Elite Culinary Champions Prepare for World Chef Challenge

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (October 19, 2016) – The World Food Championships announced today the full lineup of chefs competing in the World Chef Challenge this November in Orange Beach, AL. Coming from as far as Tanzania, this special challenge for professional chefs at WFC is loaded with 21 of the greatest culinary champions the event has ever seen.

Presented by Reinhart Foodservice and Bull Outdoor Products, the Chef Throwdown pits world-class chefs in a multi-round tournament with the winner taking home a bounty of cash and prizes. The World Chef Challenge is exclusively designed to find and feature professional chefs in a unique challenge that has to impress celebrity chefs and culinary professional judges.

There are three categories that separate chefs into Regional, National or International pairings, with 21 total chefs trying to prove their hand skills and culinary creativity with a signature and mystery basket round of cooking challenges.

“The World Chef Challenge is one of WFC’s most anticipated match-ups,” commented Mike McCloud, CEO of World Food Championships. “Its an awesome event to experience, as some of the best chefs in the world go head-to-head in a live Chef Throwdown. It's truly remarkable to watch these pros go through the hand skills and mystery basket rounds of competition.”

This free event kicks off on Friday, Nov. 11th with the International category going first.
