COMPETITION: World Open Chili Championship
QUALIFYING EVENT: 2012 WildCard Draw
After being in the shadow of my husband helping him cook chili for many years, I made my debut 2 years ago and cooked on my own. I earned a big $10,000 check in the Fire on Mountain cook off. I qualified to cook in the CASI Terlingua International Chili Cook off twice where out of 250 Texas cookers I made the semi-final table. I also qualified for the ICS World Chili Championship where I made the finals table. Not too shabby for a new cook trying to find her own light. The fun part is I’m COMPETITNG AGAISNT my husband in the World Food Championship. Come check us out – The Watkins
