COMPETITOR

Southern Oaks Athletic Club & BouillaBabes Catering + Pop Ups

HEAD COOK: Jamie Brown

COMPETITION: World Seafood Championship

Jamie started cooking in her grandmother's and mother's kitchens at a very young age just like most south Louisiana kids. When she was about 10 years old, she started cooking meals for her family on her own after venturing into her mom's vast cookbook collection. Having equal interest in art and science, Jamie found her creative outlet in the culinary world. After many years in the restaurant industry, Jamie has landed at Southern Oaks Athletic Club in Baton Rouge. She works with a nutritionist to create healthy, yet tasty prepared meals under the Simply by SOAC brand. She has most recently taken the Food & Beverage Director position in addition to being the Executive Chef. Jamie is ecstatic about changing experience at Southern Oaks and making it a place for it's members to relax and enjoy some of the best food and cocktails in Baton Rouge in a laid back atmosphere. Jamie is also co-owner of BouillaBabes Catering. BouillaBabes is known to get involved in anything food related....from private in-home dinners for two to wedding receptions for 400 to cooking classes and beyond. The Babes are known around town for their creative pop-up concepts including an all mac-n-cheese menu and an interesting take on Mediterranean cuisine. They have also ventured into the world of podcasts with Two Girls One Measuring Cup. Fans have learned to expect the unexpected. Jamie is ecstatic to make her debut as a head chef for the first time in the Seafood Category and aims to bring the title to Louisiana!
