COMPETITION: World Barbecue Championship - CBA Division
As a member of the Rotary Club of Destin, I am proud to be part of our team participating in this event, our first competition of this scale. We have been working to eradicate hunger in our community, and have raised money by smoking Boston Butts several times each year. We have participated locally (Destin, FL) in Smoke on the Coast, a barbecue challenge that raises money for numerous charities in our community. In 2017, we won People's Choice. This year, we took 1st Place in People's Choice and Judges Choice. In addition, for the past five years since its inception, we have participated in Eggs On The Beach, a Big Green Egg Competition, this year placing 1st in the Non-Profit category and 3rd in the Taster's Category.
