A Dessert competitor in the World Food Championships since 2018, it was an incredible honor to place 4th in the World Dessert Championships my first year. In 2022, I made the leap from Dessert to take on the challenge of the World Burger Championships. I’m ecstatic and honored to have earned the opportunity to return to Burger in 2023. My burger cooking experience has all taken place right outside my kitchen door on the backyard grill with my sous chef husband. Team Scrumptious is excited to return to Dallas and once again have the privilege of cooking alongside some of the best pro chefs and career restaurant industry cooks in the world. No pressure! We are ready to bring all we’ve got to creating a burger that we’d be thrilled any day to put up against the best of the best! When not competing, I turn my attention to the most adorable baby in the entire world, my new grandson Beau. I’m also back in the kitchen these days after pausing my catering business if 9 years, spending time on the simple art of creating great food. Writing a monthly food feature article for a local magazine is a new creative outlet that keeps my foodie spark burning.
