Lu Holter is an enthusiastic & creative BBQ competitor and home cook. She loves all foods and is passionate about finding new ways to use ingredients in dishes. In 2017 she finished in the top 10 in Bacon and this year she is excited to switch her focus back to her true love - Barbecue! She and her husband, Damon, own Croix Valley Foods in River Falls, WI. They produce all natural sauces, marinades, dry rubs, spices and Bloody Mary seasonings. The have won numerous international awards with their products and are both fiercely competitive. This will be Lu's 5th time competing in the WFC - in 2014 and 2015 she competed in the pasta category and bacon in 2016 & 2017, with her highest finish a 4th place in 2014. She is very excited to see old friends, make new friends and be a part of this great event again!
