COMPETITION: World Invitational Steak Championship - SCA

I grew up it in one of the roughest parts of Detroit, MI. Raised by my grandmother, me and my siblings had to tend to ourselves a lot. Meaning we cooked and cleaned for ourselves due to my grandmother working and being a single parent. My passion for food developed from me being the head cook out of the bunch. Everyone that knows me feels that I should open a restaurant or a food truck. With me working as a Engineer full time, owning anything of that sort would be a dream come true. I have experimented with a lot of exquisite dishes over time, leaving me with the confidence that I can cook anything. WFC is a huge opportunity for me to show my worth in the world of food. If I can make it out of the ghetto, raise my kids, take care of my grandmother (who raised me), find my mother and pull her off the streets and take in my siblings all in one household then I can do anything in the world. Even if I don't win, being able to compete is a joy all on it's own. So, I just to want to make my grandmother proud before she leaves this earth and continue to be a positive example for my family. Thank you WFC
