COMPETITION: World Dessert Championship
QUALIFYING EVENT: Septemberfest BBQ & Ribeye Steak Cookoff Challenge
My name is Dave Elliott, and I am the pitmaster for the competition bbq team, Porky McBeef and the Cluckers based in Olathe, KS. We qualified for the WFC by winning the Dessert category at the Septemberfest BBQ & Ribeye Steak Cookoff Challenge in Omaha, NE Labor Day weekend. The dessert that I qualified with was modified from a recipe that my mom has been making for several years. Since my recipe is based off of one from my mom, I think that it's only fitting that she come and cook with me at the WFC! I am honored to have the opportunity to compete in the WFC, although I never would have guessed it would be in the Dessert competition!
