QUALIFYING EVENT: Washington State Spring BBQ Championship - Chili Cookoff
I am Christene James of Deena's Cantina Chili. I've been cooking competitive chili for 8 years and am also a competitive BBQ cook (for over 10 years). I cook BBQ with my husband on our BBQ Team Raven's Fyre BBQ but there is no WE in Chili only "I" and we compete against each other in Chili. I do have a Chili Assistant who is my mother Gail Swartz! She is particularly helpful when we have to sample out for people's choice. My husband also is cooking at the WFC in the Sandwich category.... so look out the James' are out to win!
