QUALIFYING EVENT: National Pie Championship 2013 - Amateur Division
Although I'm fairly new to the competitve arena, I've been cooking my entire life. I was 8 years old in my first cooking class, learning to make yeast bread. Since then, my abilities have grown & changed, as my life did. From learning to cook dinner with a phone call from my mom to writing my own recipes for contests, I'm not afraid of trying anything in the kitchen...just ask my kids! Aside from cooking, I am a high school English teacher, a mother of 2, and wife to a very understanding/brave husband. We love to travel and usually, eat our way from place to place, which tends to appear in many of my creations.
