QUALIFYING EVENT: Sandwich America Recipe ContestBy day, Sean works for the City of Utica Youth Bureau in Upstate, NY, where he has worked with inner-city youth for most of his professional career.
Although he has no formal culinary training, it has always been his dream to open up a restaurant and share with the community his family’s treasured recipes. With this dream, he opened the sports bar & grill, The Stroonz – Utica Public, a local favorite hotspot that serves up quirky dishes that pair the unexpected. Sean’s culinary-style can best be described as old-school Italian meets Southern Soul, with a dash of “something secret” he pulls out of his hat, for good measure.
