QUALIFYING EVENT: McCormick Go 4 GourmetI am primarily a self taught cook who had the benefit of having parents who certainly know their way around the kitchen. Being both Greek and Italian, I have olive oil in my blood and ice water in my veins. I have never had any culinary training per se, but have picked up various tips and tricks in restaurants along the way. After working in and managing several restaurants earlier in my life, I have moved out of the professional kitchen and into the realm of passionate home chef. This year I was named the grand prize winner for McCormick's Go4Gourmet contest as well as winning several first prizes. I also was the state of Florida representative for the American Lamb Board's Grills Gone Wild competition in 2013. My culinary style is good food. Making other people happy is one of the greatest thrills in life, and there is no better way than great food!
