QUALIFYING EVENT: 2013 World Food ChampionshipsI am a passionate home cook and food blogger. I do one food blog with my daughter, Anne, Apron Strings. Anne and I are a reunited birth daughter and mom who were reunited in 1999 and bonded over our love of food and creative cooking. I do another food blog with my sister Sandy, Everyday Southwest. I grew up in Tucson, Arizona, so naturally southwest foods and flavors are my favorites!
I love to compete, and enter food competitions on a regular basis, and in November 2013 I competed at the World Food Championship held in Las Vegas, Nevada, and took seventh place in the Recipe category. I am a regular guest cook on Utah morning television show cooking segments and on Martha Stewart’s Sirius radio show, Everyday Food. She is the author of nine cookbooks – including French Toast and Quesadillas, published by Gibbs Smith Publisher. She has been an attorney for more than 32 years, and most of that time has been spent as a prosecutor handling sex crimes, domestic violence and child abuse cases.
