As Summer Cools Down, Operations At WFC Heat Up

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (September 8, 2016) – With the Ultimate Food Fight in Orange Beach, Alabama fast approaching, the World Food Championships is gearing up its local operations and logistics planning by turning to some key local experts and new staff members. Tara McMeans is one of those personnel additions, as she joined WFC in September as the event’s Onsite Coordinator.

McMeans will help WFC in numerous ways, from volunteer coordination and local sponsor support to special event production and brand affiliation.

“Tara is going to be an incredible asset to the World Food Championships. Her passion for the local Orange Beach community combined with her extensive event experience are going to help integrate our global franchise into the local community in a variety of ways,” said Mike McCloud, CEO of World Food Championships.

McMeans currently serves as the owner and CEO of Design Print Promote in Gulf Shores, and is very involved in the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber and South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce.

McMeans is passionate about volunteering in the community and has dedicated considerable time to many civic organizations, including the the Young Entrepreneurs Academy and Coastal Baldwin Education Enrichment.

“When I found out the World Food Championships was coming to Orange Beach, I knew I wanted to be a part of it,” commented McMeans. “I am thrilled to join the WFC team, and I can’t wait to see how both WFC and the Orange Beach community grow as a result of new relationships.”
